Here is a selection of our club’s annual projects and activities. It is a mix of community services and fundraisers. All proceeds raised by our fundraisers are funneled back into our community and global Kiwanis initiatives.
Adopt a Road Clean Up
Our Kiwanis members have two large stretches of road along 228th Ave both on the north and south end that we steward. Three times a year Kiwanis, Key club members and Kiwanis friends take to the roadside to remove trash and illegal signs from the right of way.
Blood Drives
Eastside Baby Corner
Our Kiwanis club coordinate various activities supporting Eastside Baby Corner including monthly work parties and food & clothing collection drives. We also organize a Kiwanis Band and hold a “Bell Ringing” event playing Christmas songs and collecting donations for EBC.
Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank
Our Kiwanis Clubs donates money for Issaquah Power Packs as well as holds periodic Power Pack packing parties to help assemble the Packs. Power Packs provides weekend food bags for children through the schools.
Farmers Market Kids Activity Sponsor
The Kiwanis Club of Sammamish is a sponsor of the Farmers Market and often provides kids activities at a Kid’s Activity booth.

Ice Cream Sales
Kiwanis (& Key Club) members take turns staffing the Ice Cream Stand at various City events. You will see us working at the July 4th Celebration as well as the Summer Nights in the Park Performances. Our popular ice cream treats are well received and proceeds go toward financing our youth leadership projects. Drop by our booth and have a cool snack next time you get a chance.
Kids First Noontime Concert Series Sponsor
The Kiwanis Club of Sammamish is a founding sponsor of the Kid’s First! performance series which are geared toward toddlers through elementary aged children by the City of Sammamish.
Postal Workers Annual Food Drive
Ski & Sports Swap
This is one of our major fundraisers for the year. It is also a major community service event providing an opportunity for individuals to sell and/or buy new or used ski and sport equipment at affordable prices. This is Recycling at its best and everybody wins!
